Wireless Bridge Signal & Lag Fix

"Unveiling Four Major Solutions to Signal Interference in Wireless Bridges: Avoiding Building Obstructions, Precisely adjusting angles, selecting Interference-free frequency bands, Ensuring equipment Quality, and Creating a stable wireless network Environment!"

Case Analysis

Our company has just taken on a new project, installing several wireless Bridges for users. The initial experience was quite good, but in the past few days, we have found that the signal is unstable, sometimes strong and sometimes weak, and the receiving level and signal-to-noise ratio are also fluctuating.

After the company personnel went to the site for an inspection, they found that two high-rise buildings were being constructed between the base station and the user station, and there were two large tower cranes on the roof. It is unknown whether the capricious signal of the bridge is affected by this?

What exactly is the cause?

In fact, it is quite common for users to encounter the problem of weak signals when using wireless devices such as wireless Bridges at construction sites. Under normal circumstances, users choose wireless Bridges mainly because of their flexibility and convenience, transmitting video surveillance data through wireless networks and thus eliminating the need for wired networks.

So the question arises: If it is found that the wireless bridge installation does not work well, the signal is unstable, or even there is no signal at all, what should be done? What causes it? Under normal circumstances, the main reasons for this situation are as follows.

Obstacle interference

In fact, as mentioned in the previous case, the company found that two high-rise buildings were being constructed between the base station and the user station, and there were two large tower cranes on the rooftops. This is a typical phenomenon of signal interference caused by obstacles.

Sometimes, when setting up a wireless bridge device, the transmitting and receiving ends may be in an open and unobstructed environment. However, during the usage process, due to the needs of some projects, some buildings or facilities are constructed between them, which hinders the transmission of the wireless bridge signal, causing the signal to weaken or be interrupted.

At this point, the solution is to avoid these obstructions. Measures such as moving the installation position of the bridge, adjusting the relay mode, and removing obstructions can be taken to improve the situation, ensuring that the transmitting and receiving ends are visible and unobstructed.

Angular deviation of the wireless bridge

Wireless Bridges are point-to-point transmission methods. Only when the directional antenna is aligned at the right Angle can the signal reach the best state. The farther the transmission distance, the higher the accuracy of the Angle is required.

If the bridge is not firmly fixed during installation, causing the antenna position of the wireless bridge to loosen when encountering bad weather such as strong winds, resulting in the inability to align the Angle, the signal will naturally be affected.

Therefore, during the installation process, we can first gently adjust it horizontally. When the signal strength becomes stronger, gradually adjust it in that direction. If it is weaker, adjust it in the opposite direction. After adjusting the horizontal Angle, make minor adjustments to the up and down angles. It is recommended that everyone must find a professional manufacturer to carry out the construction and installation.

Interference from devices on the same frequency

Wireless bridge frequencies are divided into 2.4G wireless Bridges and 5.8G wireless Bridges. There are many devices operating in this frequency band, such as the commonly seen walkie-talkies, wireless phones, microwave ovens, Bluetooth headphones and speakers, all of which operate in the 2.4GHz frequency band. Therefore, mutual interference is relatively serious.

When there is a strong magnetic field nearby, the wireless network is bound to be affected. If there are a large number of signal interference problems in the user's wireless bridge usage environment, but it is necessary to wirelessly avoid and reduce the mutual interference of other devices, it is recommended to choose a 5.8GHz frequency band bridge based on the actual application environment. The 5.8GHz frequency band is relatively pure and free of interference.

The quality of wireless Bridges

The quality issue of wireless Bridges is the most fundamental and crucial point! If the hardware of a wireless bridge device is poor, its transmission function will be significantly reduced after being used for a period of time. In severe cases, it may experience disconnection and automatic restart.

It is not ruled out that some merchants in the market exaggerate to promote their wireless Bridges or show users some transmission data under ideal conditions. However, in actual applications, it is impossible to achieve the transmission distance or bandwidth under ideal conditions.
