When many people are choosing a router, an important indicator they pay attention to is whether the signal is good and can cover every corner of their home. In fact, for large-sized apartments or multi-story buildings, one router is usually not enough. Before the emergence and popularization of Mesh technology, we mainly used wireless relays to expand signal coverage. Compared with wireless relays, Mesh completely makes up for the shortcomings of the latter and can be said to be the most ideal solution at present.

The Mesh system configuration is simpler

The Mesh system is an integrated whole. Adding Mesh nodes and modifying Mesh network Settings are both very simple. Modifying the information of the main node will automatically synchronize other routers in the entire Mesh network. When adding new nodes, there is no need to set SSID, password, upper-level router, and other information. After connection, it will automatically synchronize and form a network. It only takes one click to easily complete the network distribution. Both parents and children can use it.

However, wireless relays require the configuration of SSIDs and passwords one by one, as well as the selection of the network to be relayed. The process is extremely cumbersome and has a high threshold.

The Mesh system can be intelligently networked and self-repair

The Mesh system will automatically build the optimal network environment based on the number of nodes and network conditions. It can automatically form star-shaped, chain-like or chrysanthemum-shaped networks according to the house type and placement position, ensuring that the devices in the network have excellent signal coverage and high-speed network at any position.

Even if one of the nodes fails, the Mesh network will automatically re-establish the optimal network environment.

This is also something that the wireless relay mode cannot achieve. The network topology of the wireless relay is fixed and has been defined by the user at the beginning of the Settings. The entire network cannot guarantee the optimal effect. When one node goes offline, it may cause all subsequent nodes to crash and cannot be automatically repaired.

The Mesh system can provide intelligent navigation and seamless roaming

The Mesh system is an integrated whole. It will automatically guide devices to the better node routing of the entire network based on signal strength, network interference and load conditions. The entire process is seamless and seamless. You can play games or make video calls while walking without any lag.

In a wireless relay system, several routers are unaware of each other's status and thus cannot actively guide devices to connect to better nodes. It is impossible to roam seamlessly among several routers. When the device connects from the main route to the trunk route, there will be obvious disconnections, resulting in an inability to enjoy smooth online gaming and video experiences.

Configure automatic synchronization
Configuring the entire network is as simple as configuring a single one. After you configure the information of the master node, the configuration will be automatically synchronized to other node routers in the entire network.
Supports hybrid networking of wired and wireless
Some families have reserved network cable outlets in their study rooms, but not in their bedrooms. In rooms with network cables, Mesh can be connected via wired means. Meanwhile, in rooms without network cables, Mesh can continue to be expanded using wireless methods, achieving the mixed use of wired and wireless, truly ensuring that every room has a good signal.
Seamless roaming
The Mesh system adopts the 802.11k/v protocol. When a mobile phone moves between two Mesh routers, the Mesh system will automatically guide the mobile phone to connect to the node with better signal and lower load based on a combination of factors such as signal strength, network load, and port occupancy. The entire process is completely imperceptible to the user. The device can roam seamlessly among multiple routers. Even when playing games or making video calls, there is no sense of lag.
Inter-spectrum navigation
When the signal deteriorates, the Mesh system will, based on the signal strength and the interference situation of the frequency band, actively navigate the device from the frequency band with poor signal to the frequency band with good signal. For instance, when there are too many devices on 5G and the traffic is too heavy, causing channel congestion, the Mesh system will navigate the devices to the 2.4G frequency band to ensure normal signal and communication. When the 5G signal is restored, it will automatically navigate back to the faster 5G frequency band.
Nodes in the Mesh system will automatically select the best superior node
When a single new node joins the Mesh network, it will automatically connect to the best uplink node in the network.
Network self-repair
When a node disconnects from the Mesh network, the other nodes in the network will re-examine the optimal node and automatically re-establish the connection. No need for users to reset.
